Chinese life insurer China Life Insurance has unveiled its microinsurance pilot program. The offering includes four personal insurance, three group insurance and two microloan products. These products will be first launched in nine provinces in mid-August and then in other provinces and regions across the country.
In order to boost microinsurance in China, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC), the apex insurance regulator, will support the pilot program in aspects like supervision fee, sales channels and assumed interest rate.
